A good part of the trips we handle begin or end at Tirana airport, which most people still call Rinas. We arrange the transfer from there to wherever you are staying, whether that is Tirana itself, Durrës, Shëngjin or somewhere further along the coast, and the run back to the airport when you leave. The driver knows the road and how long it takes at different times of day, so the pickup is set with a margin rather than a guess, and you are not standing outside the terminal wondering who is coming. If your group is larger or you have a lot of luggage, tell us in advance and we make sure the vehicle has room for everyone and the bags.
The transfer is built around your flight, not around a fixed timetable. You give us the flight number and the time, and we set the pickup so that someone is there when you land, with a little room for the wait at passport control and the bags. Flights move, and if yours is delayed or brought forward we would rather you send a quick message than worry about it: we adjust the pickup and the driver is told, so the change is handled before it becomes a problem on the ground. The driver waits if you are held up inside, so a slow queue at the airport does not turn into a missed pickup.
If you would rather drive yourself, we help with a rental car for the days you need one. What it costs depends on the kind of car, the time of year and how long you keep it, so we give you a clear figure for your dates rather than a headline price. We also tell you before you commit what you need to have with you to collect the car and any conditions that come with it, so there is nothing to sort out at a counter when you would rather be on your way. If you are not sure whether to rent or to let a driver take you, we talk through both against your plans and the days you will actually need a car. We also tell you where the car is collected and returned so you can plan the first and last day around it.
It helps to have a few details ready: your arrival time, the address where you are staying and how many of you are travelling, with any bags or a child seat worth mentioning. All of it is arranged with one person at the Mamurras office on the SH1, in Albanian, Italian or English, so you are not repeating yourself to different desks. And when a plan shifts, whether the flight moves or a passenger is added, a single message is enough and we take care of the rest. Once everything is set we send you the details in writing, the pickup time and place and who to look for, so on the day you just step out and go.
