Home insurance for your peace of mind

Protect your home with a tailored policy, only the cover you need, with no surprises.

What it is

Your home is the most important investment: a sudden loss (fire, theft, water) can cost a lot. A well-made policy protects you exactly where you need it.

We explain what a home policy covers and what it doesn’t, and find the right solution for your home, without selling you cover you don’t need.

A home policy is two things working together. One side protects the building itself, the walls, the roof, the fixed systems, against events like fire, water escaping from the pipes, or storm damage. The other side protects what is inside, your furniture and everyday belongings, and steps in after a theft or an attempted break-in. You can hold both together or just one of them, depending on what you own and what falls to you to protect. Many policies also bundle a home-assistance service, so if a pipe bursts at night or the lock breaks you can call someone out, and we point out where that is included and where it is an extra.

The right cover looks different for an owner and for a tenant. If you own the home, you usually want the structure protected as well as the contents. If you rent, the building is the landlord’s concern, but your belongings are still yours to protect, and you can be held responsible for damage that starts in your flat and reaches the neighbours below. We tell you plainly which part is yours to insure, so you are not paying twice for the same thing or leaving a gap where it matters. If you live in a block of flats, part of the building may already be covered by the condominium policy, and we help you see where that cover ends and where yours needs to begin.

Most home policies also include a liability part, sometimes called family liability. It comes into play when something you or someone in your household causes leads to damage or injury to another person: water that seeps into the flat below, a guest who has an accident in your home, a child who breaks something at a neighbour’s. It is the cover people think about least and are most relieved to have when the day comes.

For families living between Albania and Italy, a home is often left empty for parts of the year, and that changes what you should look at. How long the property can stay unoccupied and still be covered, whether a second home is treated on different terms, how the contents are valued when you are not there to show them. We read the conditions with you before you sign, so an empty-house clause or an undervalued figure does not come as a surprise on the day you actually need to claim.

FAQ

What does home insurance cover?
It depends on the policy: usually fire, theft, water damage and liability. We explain every item and choose together what you need.
Does it also apply to a rented home?
Yes: there are solutions for both the owner and the tenant. We tell you which one fits you.
What’s the difference between insuring the building and the contents?
The building is the structure and the fixed systems, the contents are your furniture and belongings. Owners often want both, while tenants usually just protect the contents. We help you see which side you actually need so nothing important is left out. If you own and rent the place out, there is also cover built around the landlord’s position, which is different again.
Is my home still covered if it stays empty for months?
It depends on the policy: many set conditions on how long a home can stay unoccupied. If you spend part of the year in Albania and part in Italy, tell us, and we choose a policy that fits how you use the home in practice rather than one that quietly leaves you exposed. We can also note the practical steps that keep the cover valid while you are away, like who holds the keys and how the home is checked.
